Blumhouse Negotiates Deal With Scott Teems to Write Next 'Halloween' Sequel

Blumhouse is moving forward with their next Halloween movie, a follow up to last year’s mega-successful sequel to John Carpenter’s 1978 horror classic.

Blumhouse is gearing up to bring horror fans another new instalment in the iconic Halloween franchise, but the company is keeping very tight lipped about it at the moment. Today, however, the folks over at Collider are reporting that the production company has found their writer for the next sequel.

The site states: “Scott Teems is in talks to write the sequel to David Gordon Green‘s Halloween, which will be based on a well-liked treatment Teems has already written for the company.”

Teems adapted Stephen King’s book Firestarter and his novella The Breathing Method for Blumhouse, adds Collider.

Let’s be realistic here, it’s very unlikely that Blumhouse will rush out another Halloween sequel for an October release in 2019. We’re feeling confident enough to predict that we won’t see Michael Myers back on the big screen until 2020.

Do you want to see Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer and Andi Matichak return for the sequel? Let us know your thoughts down in the comments.
