BIG breaking news to report this evening as Blumhouse has just dropped a shocker that Jamie Lee Curtis will reprise her role as the iconic heroine Laurie Strode in David Gordon Green and Danny McBride new Halloween! Along with this massive announcement, an incredible photo has been revealed that teases her return to haddonfield.
Blumhouse shared the reveal on Twitter, confirming that Universal Pictures will be releasing the film, which is simply titled Halloween.
Jamie Lee Curtis tweeted: “Same porch. Same clothes. Same issues. 40 years later. Headed back to Haddonfield one last time for Halloween.”
“Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role as Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.”
Carpenter will executive produce with Malek Akkad producing for Trancas and horror specialist Jason Blum producing for Blumhouse. Gordon Green and McBride will also executive produce under their Rough House Pictures banner.
Halloween is expected to open in theaters on October 19th, 2018.
