Ana Lily Amirpour’s anticipated brutal dystopian cannibal fairy tale The Bad Batch is heading to Nextflix next Friday, September 22nd, Dark Universe learned today. Amirpour is known for her previous black and white offering A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, a film about a skateboarding vampire who preys on men who disrespect women.
The film stars Keanu Reeves, Suki Waterhouse, Jason Momoa, Giovanni Ribisi, Yolonda Ross, Jayda Fink, Cory Roberts, Louie Lopez, and even the great Jim Carrey.
“Arlen (Waterhouse) as she is unceremoniously dumped in a Texas wasteland fenced off from civilized society. While trying to orient her unforgiving environment, she is captured by a savage band of cannibals and quickly realizes she’ll have to fight her way through her new reality. As Arlen adjusts to life in ‘the bad batch’ she discovers that being good or bad mostly depends on who you’re standing next to.”
