Chloe Grace Moretz Says 'Suspiria' is the "Closest Modern Stanley Kubrick I‘ve Ever Seen”

Luca Guadagnino’s upcoming remake of Italian filmmaker Dario Argento’s 1977 horror masterpiece Suspiria is set to haunt us this November, and after recently viewing the superb trailer, we’re super excited to experience the terror in theaters.

At the recent Provincetown Film Festival in Massachusetts, Suspiria star Chloe Grace Moretz had some bold words to say about the new film.

This is a really big statement, but this is the closest to modern Stanley Kubrick I‘ve ever seen,” said Moretz. “You’re put into a world, which I can only describe it as being like The Shining in a lot of ways, where you’re just encompassed in a filmmaker’s brain and you’re just implanted in there, and there’s nothing like it that you will ever see.

She added: “Here’s the thing, it’s so secretive that it’s super locked down. It’s secretive and I want it to be secretive because you guys are gonna be so shocked. It is WILD. It’s crazy. I can say this, I speak German mainly in the movie. So you won’t recognize me very well. I seem like a different person and I sound like a different person.

If you haven’t checked out the dark and eerie trailer yet, you can do so below.

Synopsis:
A young American ballet dancer travels to a prestigious dance academy in Europe, only to discover it is something far more sinister and supernatural. She becomes increasingly terrified after a series of gruesome murders ensue and she slowly unravels the dark history of the academy.

Suspiria also stars Tilda Swinton as (Madame Blanc), Chloë Grace Moretz as (Patricia), Mia Goth as (Sara), Jessica Harper as (Anke), Angela Winkler as (Miss Tanner), Sylvie Testud as (Miss Griffith), Renée Soutendijk as (Miss Huller), Ingrid Cavenas (Miss Vendegast), Lutz Ebersdorf as (Dr. Jozef Klemperer) and Malgorzata Bela as (Mother).

The film creeps into theaters on November 2nd, 2018.
