Church is Resurrected in First Photo from the ‘Pet Sematary’ Remake

Now that filming has wrapped, EW got their hands on the first batch of images from the new Pet Sematary remake, directed by Starry Eyes team Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch.

We’re most excited to see the reveal of our new Church, the unread cat who is resurrected in an Indian burial ground for dead animals. You can take a look at all six photos below.

Synopsis: “Dr. Louis Creed (Clarke), who, after relocating with his wife Rachel (Seimetz) and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family’s new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall (Lithgow), setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.”

The film stars John Lithgow (Twilight Zone: The Movie) as Jud Crandall, Jason Clarke (Winchester) as Louis Creed, Amy Seimetz (Alien: Covenant, “Stranger Things”) as Rachel Creed, ten-year-old Jeté Laurence will play Ellie, three-year-old twins Hugo Lavoie and Lucas Lavoie will play Gage

Stephen King’s Pet Sematary is set to resurrect all things dead on April 5th, 2019.
