David Gordon Green Hypes Up the One-Shot Sequence in 'Halloween'

With only 12 weeks to go before director David Gorden Green’s Halloween sequel is released in theatres, the creators continue to release more promotional material and interviews to get fans super excited for the new film.

In an interview today with the folks at Cinema Blend, the director hyped up the one-shot sequence that we’re all dying to see.

I’m dying for Halloween fans to see the sequence — it’s a one-shot sequence when Mike gets back to work,” Gordon Green teased. “It’s a very long shot. A very complicated scenario that we took a long time rehearsing and strategized on how to achieve it in one shot. Michael does a little trick-or-treating of his own, and that’s pretty exciting.”

The film stars Jamie Lee Curtis, who returns as Laurie Strode, Nick Castle, who reprises his role as Michael Myers, stuntman and actor James Jude Courtney will also don the mask, Judy Greer plays Karen, the daughter of Laurie, Andi Matichak plays Allyson, the daughter of Greer and the granddaughter of Laurie Strode, Virginia Ginny Gardner plays Vicky, Miles Robbins plays Dave, Dylan Arnold plays Cameron, and Drew Scheid plays Oscar.

Synopsis:
Laurie Strode comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.

John Carpenter executive produced the film with Malek Akkad for Trancas and horror specialist Jason Blum of Blumhouse. Gordon Green and Danny McBride also executive produced under their Rough House Pictures banner. Special FX specialist Christopher Nelson created the new Michael Myers mask.

Halloween hits theaters on October 19th, 2018.
