David Gordon Green on Michael Myers in the New 2018 Halloween Movie

David Gordon Green’s new 2018 Halloween movie will attempt to bring Michael Myers back to his chilling roots of the classic 1978 film, and everyone involved is promising a frightening experience. From what we’ve seen thus far, it appears to be on the right track.

In an interview conducted today with L.A. Times, the director talked about the character of Micheal Myers in Halloween:

Michael Myers hasn’t evolved as a character in any way, shape or form [since 1978]; he’s the essence of evil. He has no character. He has no personality. He has no interests. He never has. He’s someone that is moving forward and reacting to the world around him, but not with any sort of conscious objective. And how the world around him reacts to his behavior is where our story comes to life.

Green is using the right words to describe how frightening the character of Michael Myers can be when used correctly. We only have to wait 50 days to find out how effective the new 2018 Halloween movie will be.
