News ‘Halloween’ Director David Gordon Green Teases Doctor Loomis Vocal Cameo Published 3 months ago on July 26, 2018 By Nick Bond Share Tweet One of the most noticeable missing pieces of the later Halloween films is the absence of legendary British actor Donald Pleasence, who is known for playing Doctor Loomis. Wouldn’t it be awesome to hear his voice one last time? Well, it’s happening! The folks over at Yahoo had the chance to chat with the director of Halloween David Gordon Green, who had the following to say about the legendary Doctor Loomis in the new film. “We have a Donald Pleasence soundalike. Because obviously he’s no longer with us, but having someone that could mimic his voice was a fun challenge. And we nailed it, I think. If I do say so myself. And then there’s a couple other [nods to the past films].” Green teased, “There’s a vocal cameo you may or may not notice till the end credits.” This has got to be the most awesome piece of news coming from the Halloween camp. Let’s just hope that Doctor Loomis’ presence is truly felt in the upcoming sequel. Synopsis: “Laurie Strode comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.” The film stars Jamie Lee Curtis, who returns as Laurie Strode, Nick Castle, who reprises his role as Michael Myers, stuntman and actor James Jude Courtney will also don the mask, Judy Greer plays Karen, the daughter of Laurie, Andi Matichak plays Allyson, the daughter of Greer and the granddaughter of Laurie Strode, Virginia “Ginny“ Gardner plays Vicky, Miles Robbins plays Dave, Dylan Arnold plays Cameron, and Drew Scheid plays Oscar. John Carpenter executive produced the film with Malek Akkad for Trancas and horror specialist Jason Blum of Blumhouse.
