'Halloween' Trailer Footage Explained in Full Detail: Michael Myers Hides in a Closet

Since the trailer footage for director David Gordon Green’s Halloween debuted at CinemaCon this past Wednesday in Vegas, viewers have been sharing almost every detail shown via social media. Well, it appears that there’s still some juicy bits to learn.

Over at Gizodo, it appears that the website shared more in dept information than any other source. One scene shows pictures of Dr. Loomis, while another scene reveals Michael Myers hiding in a small boys closet. Laurie learns that a bus from the mental institution crashed and that Michael has escaped. The trailer then shifts to a bathroom where a girl is sitting in a toilet stall. A pair of boots enters the room. She explains that the stall is occupied. We see that, in another room, a man in a garage has been killed. Back in the bathroom, a closed fist goes over the top of the stall and drops something onto the girl. It’s teeth. She screams. Cut to Myers finding the mask and putting it back on.

Michael has made his way back to Haddonfield. Laurie says she’s going to protect her family and we see that it’s Halloween and the streets are packed with kids. Then, she sees him in an upstairs window. Laurie takes aim and fires. But she hit a mirror.

The trailer ends in the room of a young boy. He asks his babysitter to close the closet door. She tries, but it won’t close. She tries again. And again. Finally, she opens the door to see what’s blocking it and, yup, it’s Michael Myers. He grabs her and the trailer ends.

Synopsis:
Laurie Strode comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.

The film also stars Nick Castle, who reprises his role as Michael Myers, stuntman and actor James Jude Courtney will also don the mask, Judy Greer plays Karen, the daughter of Laurie, Andi Matichak plays Allyson, the daughter of Greer and the granddaughter of Laurie Strode, Virginia Ginny Gardner plays Vicky, Miles Robbins plays Dave, Dylan Arnold plays Cameron, and Drew Scheid plays Oscar.

John Carpenter executive produced the film with Malek Akkad for Trancas and horror specialist Jason Blum of Blumhouse. Gordon Green and Danny McBride also executive produced under their Rough House Pictures banner. Special FX specialist Christopher Nelson created the new Michael Myers mask.

Halloween will stalk theaters on October 19th, 2018.
