News Hammer House Of Horror Live Offers an Immersive Theatre Experience Published 1 year ago on July 31, 2017 By Nick Bond Share Tweet The studio that dripped blood is putting on a show this coming October titled Hammer House Of Horror Live, which offer audiences an immersive theatre experience, plunging you into a brand new tale, reports Scifinow. “Hammer House Of Horror is probably the most famous brand within a brand that we have,” reveals Hammer CEO Simon Oakes. “We thought that would be a great place to bring this back.” Very little is known about the plot, but co-writer and director Anna Söderblom told the site that “The vague outline is a group of vampires who are trying to enact an a ritual that will allow them to walk in daylight.” If that sounds like classic Hammer, that’s very much the point, but we’ll be seeing these stories brought up to date. “We’re also trying to see the contemporary interpretation of Victorian Gothic,” Söderblom continues. “The films in 50s and 60s and 70s are very much the 50s, 60s and 70s interpretations of what Gothic looks like, so we’re coming at this from a 2017 modern lens.” The show will play in London’s Hoxton Hall, and the immersive experience will allow the audience to explore the atmospheric location as the stories unfold. “It’s a proper free-roaming promenade experience, it’s not guided and it’s not timed,” enthuses Oakes. “The audience comes into the building and then they are free to roam and explore as they wish. Although the running time is two hours, the stories are going on at the same time, so it’s quite a logistical feat to have it all moving smoothly and people not crashing into each other, it’s quite a feat of human engineering.” While there’s a still a bit of a wait until October, Oakes promises that fans can definitely expect that classic Hammer spirit. “It’s our first outing in this kind of area so we thought we’d better deliver certain things. People might expect vampires, they might expect the living dead, we’ve also drawn inspiration from a trilogy of film that Hammer made in the 60s, and then that Gothic, Grand Guignol feel to it.” Hammer House of Horror Live: 3rd to 31st October 2017, Hoxton Hall, 130 Hoxton Street, London N1 6SH Tickets prices start from £48.50 and can be located at: hammerhouseofhorror.com Related Topics: Up Next Patrick Brice’s Horror Sequel ‘Creep 2’ Officially Completes Filming Don't Miss Herschell Gordon Lewis’ Classic ‘Blood Feast’ is Heading to (UK) Blu-Ray Continue Reading Advertisement You may like Click to comment Facebook Advertisement Dark Universe Presents https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0T8C3JIJLA&t=22s Twitter Follow @DUHDNews Advertisement Latest Popular Videos News19 hours ago Featurette Tells the Story of Sabrina Spellman in Netflix’s “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” News2 days ago Cavitycolors to Celebrates 40 Years of ‘Halloween’ With Soy Wax Candle and Mystery Enamel Pin Blu-Ray & DVD4 days ago ‘Urban Legend’ and ‘Urban Legends: Final Cut’ Slash onto Blu-Ray via Scream Factory News5 days ago Michael Myers Searches for Dana in New ‘Halloween’ Clip Blu-Ray & DVD6 days ago Colin Eggleston’s Australian Horror ‘Long Weekend’ Getting Special Edition (UK) Blu-Ray Music4 weeks ago Listen to John Carpenter’s Stunning First Track “The Shape Returns” for New ‘Halloween’ News2 weeks ago ‘Halloween’ Writer Danny McBride Has Ideas for Potential Sequel Blu-Ray & DVD3 weeks ago Tom Savini’s 1990 ‘Night of the Living Dead’ Remake is Available Again on U.S. Blu-Ray News2 weeks ago Rob Zombie Shares New Photo of Sid Haig as Captain Spaulding in ‘Three From Hell’ News2 weeks ago New Video Takes You Behind-the-Scenes of David Gordon Green’s ‘Halloween’ Advertisement Trending Horror Lists3 years ago The Many Different Michael Myers Masks Used In Halloween: H20 News1 year ago Todd McFarlane Makes An Announcement on His ‘Spawn’ Script News1 year ago Photo of Doug Bradley Back in Pinhead Makeup for First Time in 12 Years!
