Jessica Harper Praises Luca Guadagnino’s ‘Suspiria’ Remake

After the positive high praise from viewers who caught the footage shown of Luca Guadagnino’s Suspiria Remake at this year’s CinemaCon, the star of Dario Argento’s original 1977 Italian horror masterpiece Jessica Harper also decided to shared her opinion.

Harper recently took to her Facebook account and shared the following message with her friends and followers:

I have seen this movie – the most brilliantly scary film I have ever seen. Luca’s Call Me By Your Name does not prepare you for it, but throws into relief the director’s brilliance and versatility…

Harper sounds very enthusiastic about the new take on Suspiria, and we can only hope that it turns out to be something that the fans of the original classic can accept.

Synopsis:
A young American ballet dancer travels to a prestigious dance academy in Europe, only to discover it is something far more sinister and supernatural. She becomes increasingly terrified after a series of gruesome murders ensue and she slowly unravels the dark history of the academy.

Suspiria also stars Tilda Swinton as (Madame Blanc), Chloë Grace Moretz as (Patricia), Mia Goth as (Sara), Jessica Harper as (Anke), Angela Winkler as (Miss Tanner), Sylvie Testud as (Miss Griffith), Renée Soutendijk as (Miss Huller), Ingrid Cavenas (Miss Vendegast), Lutz Ebersdorf as (Dr. Jozef Klemperer) and Malgorzata Bela as (Mother).

The film is set for release in theatres Fall 2018.
