Keith Flint: Vocalist of British Band The Prodigy Dies Aged 49

We just received the devastating news that Keith Flint, frontman of British band The Prodigy, has been found dead at his Essex home this morning. According to an official Instagram post, the singer took his own life at age 49.

The group transformed the rave scene in the late 90s, releasing their first single “Firestarter” from The Fat of the Land album in 1997, which reached number-one in the UK and stayed in the charts for three weeks. The song was so popular at the time that it even ended up on the Sony PlayStation game, Wipeout.

We send our deepest condolences to his family members and close friends. You can read the statement from the official The Prodigy Instagram page below.
