The latest cast to join director Ari Sandel’s newly titled Goosebumps sequel Slappy Halloween has just been announced today via the folks over at Verity, who reports that Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ken Jeong, and Chris Parnell have jumped on board.

The original film was directed by Rob Letterman, which starred Jack Black as the mysterious father, R.L. Stine. It would be nice to see him come back for the follow up, but nothing’s been officially confirmed yet.

The 2015 film followed:

A teenager teams up with the daughter of young adult horror author R. L. Stine after the writer’s imaginary demons are set free on the town of Madison, Delaware.

Madison Iseman (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle), Ben O’Brien (Manchester by the Sea), Caleel Harris (Castle Rock), and Jeremy Ray Taylor (IT) also star in the upcoming sequel.

Goosebumps: Slappy Halloween will send chills down your spine when it creeps to theaters on October 12th, 2018.
