Halloween Movie Sequel Photo Reveales Menacing Michael Myers With Knife

Only Michael Myers has the balls to show up on Friday the 13th, that being Jason’s special day. Well, the folks at EW debuted a new photo from this year’s Halloween movie sequel late last night.

What I loved is that it surgically excises all of that dead tissue,” Jamie Lee Curtis explained to the site. “This is growing from just that original movie, 40 years later. There may be people who love the other movies, great — [they have] zero relevance to this story.

David Gordon Green’s Halloween movie sequel doesn’t entirely ignore the other films.

This film isn’t one to narratively recognize any of the films other than the original Halloween,” says the director. “But we very much enjoy the other films and there’s a lot of very subtle shout-outs to a number of things that I think the big fans — the people that know the films scientifically — will get a kick out of, hopefully.

In the film, we discover that masked killer Michael Myers is about to be transferred from a psychiatric institution to a maximum-security prison. Can we assume there is a hiccup en route?

Well, s— hits the fan in one way or another,” teases Green.

The film also stars Nick Castle, who reprises his role as Michael Myers, stuntman and actor James Jude Courtney will also don the mask, Judy Greer plays Karen, the daughter of Laurie, Andi Matichak plays Allyson, the daughter of Greer and the granddaughter of Laurie Strode, Virginia Ginny Gardner plays Vicky, Miles Robbins plays Dave, Dylan Arnold plays Cameron, and Drew Scheid plays Oscar.

John Carpenter executive produced the film with Malek Akkad for Trancas and horror specialist Jason Blum of Blumhouse. Gordon Green and Danny McBride also executive produced under their Rough House Pictures banner. Special FX specialist Christopher Nelson created the new Michael Myers mask.

Synopsis:

Laurie Strode comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.

Halloween hits theaters on October 19th, 2018.
