Variety is reporting that “Stranger Things” breakout Millie Bobby Brown has completed a deal to star in Legendary’s upcoming Godzilla: King of Monsters, the next film in the monster movie franchise.
Michael Dougherty (Krampus and Trick ‘r Treat) helmer is directing and writing the script alongside Zach Shields.
Other interesting news is that Dougherty was initially hired to run the Godzilla universe writing room.
Bryan Cranston, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Elizabeth Olsen starred in Gareth Edwards’ 2014 reboot, but their involvement in the sequel is unknown at this time.
Godzilla: King of Monsters is currently dated for Mar. 22, 2019, with Godzilla vs. Kong slated for May 29, 2020.
It will be very exciting to see “Stranger Things” actress Millie Bobby Brown in a big movie franchise.
