New Friday the 13th Film Will Not Be Found Footage

Over the years, there’s been all kinds of stuff going on with the new Friday the 13th film. To this date, nothing has really moved forward with the project, until now. Apparently, we may finally have something exciting to look forward to after all.

TooFab interviewed Platinum Dunes producers Brad Fuller and Andrew Form at Wondercon over the weekend, and they revealed some juicy bits for us fans.

I can tell you I believe there will be a set visit for everybody soon,” noted Form, indicating that the plan is still to release the next installment in the Friday the 13th franchise on January 13th, 2017.

We wonder if it would take place in the 80’s, like Bruckner had previously planned?

There is truth that this is period,” Form confirmed, without saying which period the new movie will take place in. Fuller quickly added, “And NOT found footage.

We’re so lucky to have Aaron Guzikowski writing, who is a fan of the franchise,” Form went on to say. “He’s come up with an amazing story and we can’t wait to make this one.

We are very excited by this news, it sounds right up our street. What do you guys think?
