It looks like Quentin Tarantino‘s next project will be a new film about the Manson family murders, which has been written by Tarantino, who is also set to direct. The official title is unknown at this time, but we do know that frequent producers Harvey and Bob Weinstein are involved with the project.
THR reports today that Tarantino is the final stages of completing the script, and that Brad Pitt, who worked with the filmmaker on Basterds, and Jennifer Lawrence have been approached. Nothing official has been confirmed on their involvement at this time.
“Script details are fuzzy but one of the story’s centers is on Sharon Tate, the actress and wife of director Roman Polanski who was murdered by Manson and his followers in 1969.”
The Mansion film is said to be in the early stages of shopping the project to studios to co-finance and co-distribute the venture.
Filming is planned to begin as early as summer 2018.
