Capcom's Resident Evil Video Game Turns 20 Years Old Today

Did you know that Capcom’s original Resident Evil video game turns 20 years old today? Released On March 22nd, 1996 Resident Evil (Bio Hazard) was first available in Japan, then in the USA a week later and UK on August 2nd.

Right now would be the best time to dust off your PlayStation, find your copy of Resident Evil, and take some time out to celebrate this classic horror zombie adventure.

In Resident Evil:

A series of bizarre murders have occurred on the outskirts of Raccoon City, with signs of cannibalism on the victims’ remains. The Raccoon Police Department’s Special Tactics And Rescue Service (S.T.A.R.S.) are assigned to investigate the murders. S.T.A.R.S. is divided into two teams: Alpha and Bravo. Bravo Team is sent first, but after contact with them is lost, Alpha Team is sent to investigate their disappearance.

What did you think of Resident Evil for its time? We think it was groundbraking for a late 90’s video game.
