We have a brand new photo courtesy of Empire for director Denis Villeneuve’s upcoming Blade Runner 2049 sequel, which takes place 30 years after Ridley Scott’s 1982 sci-fi noir classic. Take a look below at Harrison Ford’s Deckard square off against Ryan Gosling’s K in a neon-lit bar.
Blade Runner 2049 stars Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Robin Wright, Mackenzie Davis, Carla Juri, Lennie James, with Dave Bautista and Jared Leto.
“Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.”
Denis Villeneuve directs from a screenplay by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green.
Blade Runner 2049 is scheduled for release in theaters and IMAX on 6 October, 2017.
