#SDCC Trailer for Blumhouse's "The Purge" TV Series Brings Carnage to the Small Screen

Blumhouse’s “The Purge” TV series finally debuted its official trailer at this year’s colossal San Diego Comic Con event, the 10-episode show scripted and executive produced by franchise creator James DeMonaco.

You can watch all the carnage go down in the trailer footage below, which actually looks like it’s going to be a hell of a lot of fun.

Synopsis:
The Purge revolves around a 12-hour period when all crime, including murder, is legal. Set in an altered America ruled by a totalitarian political party, the series follows several seemingly unrelated characters living in a small city. As the clock winds down, each character is forced to reckon with their past as they discover how far they will go to survive the night.

The series stars Gabriel Chavarria, Lili Simmons, Sabrina Gennarino, Jessica Garza, Amanda Warren, Colin Woodell, Hannah Anderson, Lee Tergesen, William Baldwin, and Fiona Dourif.

“The Purge” TV series is executive produced by franchise creators DeMonaco, Blumhouse’s Jason Blum, Michael Bay, Platinum Dunes’ Brad Fuller and Andrew Form, Sebastien K. Lemercier and Thomas Kelly.

The Purge premiers on USA Network and Syfy on Tuesday, September 4th.
