Keegan-Michael Key on Shane Black's 'Predator' Reshoots of the Third Act

As reported last month, director Shane Black‘s upcoming reboot/sequel The Predator went through just over two weeks worth of reshoots in Vancouver. The folks over at CinemaBlend caught up with cast member Keegan-Michael Key, who discussed the current progress of the project with the site.

Key had a bit to say about the film’s reshoots of the third act:

We just finished [reshoots] last week, and just about three-quarters of the third act was rewritten. And Shane Black is… he’s just a consummate professional, and a consummate writer. He’s a wordsmith! It was a really, really exhilarating experience, and I think that he’s still one of our most vibrant writers of cinema.

The movie once again features unsuspecting humans who slowly realize that fierce hunter-aliens are in their midst, this time in what could be a suburban setting.

Black is directing the new installment, which he co-wrote with Fred Dekker. John Davis, Joel Silver, and Lawrence Gordon are producing the new project.

Synopsis:
A group of unsuspecting humans slowly realize that fierce hunter-aliens are in their midst, this time in a suburban setting.

The film also stars Boyd Holbrook, Jacob Tremblay, Yvonne Strahovski, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown, Trevante Rhodes, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey, and Edward James Olmos.

The Predator will hunt theaters on September 14th2018.
