Sony’s ‘The Crow Reborn’ Character Information Revealed and Shoot Date

Director Corin Hardy’s The Crow Reborn is scheduled to begin shooting scenes this July in Budapest, Hungary, so if all goes to plan, production won’t be another victim of long delays or false starts.

Recently, the folks over at Dread Central got their hands on the casting breakdown details for Sony’s upcoming reboot of Alex Proyas’ beloved 1994 classic The Crow. As announced previously, Jason Momoa will play the role of Eric Draven, originally portrayed by the legendary Brandon Lee. But what do we know about his adversaries? Well, it looks like some of those  characters will have a gender change in the new film.

[T-BIRD]
30, strong and wiry with the cold eyes of a wolf and an endless hunger where his heart should be. Lacking in conscience, covered in prison ink. Has taken over the old Hotel Reno on the outskirts of town where he rolls with Top Dollar and his notorious gang. Tonight he becomes a made man, but deep down he knows he wants it all…

20s – 30s, a lean, reptilian woman who came of age amidst lust and cruelty and has survived by embracing both. She possesses an almost psychic instict for seeking out a lie, her withering gaze something of a Medusa… T-Bird’s girl and co-manager of Hotel Reno, where she has been using her charm to draw in susceptible girls…

28 – 35, Eric’s one true love. A dancer with effortless talent.. Her undeniable beauty is matched only by her passion to teach dance to the inner city girls at her home studio. 30s, a hulking monster of a man, with unstoppable fists. T-Bird’s indefeatable champion in the ring. Mean and tough. Accustomed to being shunned, grateful for the society of savages who have taken him in (T-Bird, Top Dollar, Ratso, Fun Boy, Gideon)…

Synopsis:
Like the original, the story follows Eric Draven, a murder victim who returns from the dead, seeking vengeance on those who murdered him and his fiancée with the help of a mystical bird.

Samuel Hadida’s Davis Films, Highland Film Group and Electric Shadow previously acquired the rights to finance, produce and distribute the film.

Edward R. Pressman, who produced the original 1994 film starring Brandon Lee, will produce The Crow Reborn alongside Hadida and Kevin Misher of Misher Films. Highland Film Group and Electric Shadow are also producing, with HFG handling international sales. The film was developed by Pressman and Relativity.
