Ted Hardesty Will Be Featured in Texas Chainsaw Prequel

We can’t wait for Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo’s upcoming Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel known as Leatherface, can you? Well, Dark Universe are hearing that the character of Ted Hardesty will be featured in the film, who is to be introduced as the farther of the original film’s Sally and Franklin Hardesty.

The news broke after some digging from the guys over at Bloody-Disgusting, which was noted on the IMDb page for the new Texas Chainsaw film Leatherface. After finding this neat bit of information, BD decided to ask the films writer if it was infact true.

Said Seth M. Sherwood:

Yes, Ted Hardesty is Sally’s dad. There was a later scene that went into it, but it was cut for budget reasons. I don’t know if we ever hear Ted’s last name in the movie as it is– but he’s there briefly. I mean, Grandpa Hardesty’s farm was in walking distance of the Sawyers, sooooo…

Synopsis via IMDb:

Prequel about teenage Leatherface who escapes from a mental hospital with three other inmates, kidnaps a young nurse and takes her on a road trip from hell. Along the way, they are pursued by an equally deranged lawman out for revenge.

Leatherface is directed by Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo (Inside). No official release date has been noted at the moment.
