NEWS BITS:

The Next Installment Of ‘The Purge’ Francise Is Filming In Washington

We have been hearing that the next installment of The Purge franchise is preparing to begin filming on the streets of Southwest Washington headquarters, and noting that the shoot might entail pedestrian traffic and “law enforcement activity”. And from what we understand, the U.S Department of Agriculture received an email warning that film crew would be on the streets.

The cameras are in fact shooting scenes for the third installment in the horror franchise “The Purge”. The film is due for release on July 1st, has a political theme, with the lead character tasked with protecting from assassins the senator who is out to end the gruesome tradition.

The film is apparently complete with a trailer already out there, but some scenes needed close-ups in Washington. You can check out the trailer below for the film.

In The Purge: Election Year:

Trapped on the streets of Washington, D.C., a senator (Elizabeth Mitchell) and her head of security (Frank Grillo) must survive an annual night of terror where all crime is legal for 12 hours.
