NEWS BITS:

Todd McFarlane Makes An Announcement on His ‘Spawn’ Script

A horror version of Spawn? Yes please! That’s the excitement we all felt when we first heard about Todd McFarlane’s vision for his next Spawn project. It was back in September of 2016 that McFarlane dropped this bomb: “It’s going to be a dark, R-rated, scary, badass sort of script. It’s not a nice, polite PG-13…

Then back in December of 2016, Dark Universe learned that McFarlane wants to direct the project himself: ‘I have to direct it, that’s not even a negotiation, so if you can’t accept that, then the conversation is over quickly.” Not only does he want to direct the next Spawn, but he also wants to put the film in front of horror movie crowds with an R rating: “It will be a definite R. I’m not going for the same crowd that Marvel and DC is going for; I’m going for the same crowd that horror film releases going for.”

Well, we have the latest updated for you regarding the script via a live video announcement, which McFarlane says is done. He goes on to say that we should have more news in the coming months, so fingers crossed that the film gets the green light. Stay tuned to Dark Universe for more on this story.
