Universal's The Mummy Trailer Has Officially Dropped

Last week, Dark Universe gave you a 15 second peek at Universal’s The Mummy reboot directed by Alex Kurtzman. Well, we now have the visually stunning full length trailer for you to check out down below.

With a running time of 2 and a half minutes, we are fairly impressed with what we see in the new footage. The Mummy trailer features mostly action scenes with Tom Cruise, but don’t worry, this is a horror movie.

With a script written by Jon Spaihts, The Mummy synopsis goes: “Thought safely entombed in a crypt deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient queen whose destiny was unjustly taken from her, is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.

From the sweeping sands of the Middle East through hidden labyrinths under modern-day London, The Mummy brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative new take that ushers in a new world of gods and monsters.”

The film stars Tom Cruise, Annabelle Wallis (Annabell, King Arthur, Peaky Blinders), Jake Johnson (Jurassic World), Russell Crowe and Courtney B. Vance (TV’s American Crime Story: The People V. O.J. Simpson).

The Mummy will be released in cinemas from 9 June, 2017.
