Watch Three New Clip From J. A. Bayona's A Monster Calls

Take a look at three new clips from director Juan Antonio Bayona’s A Monster Calls, the Spanish filmmaker who directed 2007’s The Orphanage. The film has been getting a lot of attention and praise from critics, so we think it’s worth spending a bit of time watching the awesome footage down below!

12-year-old Conor (Lewis MacDougall), who is dealing with his mother’s (Felicity Jones) illness, a less-than-sympathetic grandmother (Sigourney Weaver), and bullying classmates. He finds a most unlikely ally when a Monster appears at his bedroom window. Ancient, wild, and relentless, the Monster guides Conor on a journey of courage, faith, and truth.

The film is written by Patrick, who based the film on his ness 2011 children’s book, which was inspired by an idea from the late Siobhan Dowd. Starring Lewis MacDougall, Felicity Jones, Toby Kebbell, Liam Neeson, and Sigourney Weaver.

A Monster Calls is coming to select theatres on December 23rd, followed by a wide release on January 6th
