Werewolf Flick ‘Bonehill Road’ Uses Practical Effects and No CGI

Do you remember those glories days of when horror practical effects created incredible looking monsters in films like An American Werewolf in London and The Howling? Sadly, those days are long gone. But every now and then you get a throwback film to those magical days, with no CGI to be seen.

Well, guess what? A prolific shot-on-video filmmaker Todd Sheets is set to bring us a new werewolf film titled Bonehill Road, and he will take on the task of creating an old-school style practical effects driven horror flick, with zero CGI. The film successfully found funding through Indiegogo last year.

Sheets describes Bonehill Road as:

an homage to classic monster films like The Howling and An American Werewolf In London. In some ways, it is a throwback to the films we grew up with… the real horror movies that we all love so much, and in another way it is a modern horror flick that uses old school techniques, including Practical Monster Effects. NO CGI at all here. Our goal is to make an exciting, scary monster movie with some really cool werewolves.
