Zach Galligan stated back in December of 2016 that the next Gremlins film would, in fact, be a sequel, not a remake. Horror fans have been waiting on a Gremlins 3 for many years, so let’s continue to keep the hope alive.

Galligan recently shared a post on his official Twitter page, telling fans to RT if you want to see a proper Gremlins sequel.

It’s about time for a Gremlins 3, and we believe that Galligan will do whatever he can to get it made.

The original 1984 classic was directed by Joe Dante from a script by Chris Columbus. The film starred Zach Galligan, Phoebe Cates, and Dick Miller.

Synopsis:
A gadget salesman is looking for a special gift for his son and finds one at a store in Chinatown. The shopkeeper is reluctant to sell him the “mogwai” but sells it to him with the warning to never expose him to bright light, water, or to feed him after midnight. All of this happens and the result is a gang of gremlins that decide to tear up the town on Christmas Eve.

Stay tuned for more Gremlins news as it happens.
