Halloween Kills: John Carpenter Releases Eerie New Track Titled "Michael's Legend"

Can you believe we are just over two weeks away from the release of Blumhouse Productions and director David Gordon Green‘s hotly-anticipated slasher sequel Halloween Kills? While we sit back and wait for October 15th to finally arrive, horror master John Carpenter took to his YouTube channel today to release a brand new track from the film’s OST titled “Michael’s Legend”, which I would call one of his most eeriest pieces yet.

The official press release explains the track in more detail:

In contrast with the bombastic violence and unsettling ominosity of previously released cues “Unkillable” and “Rampage,” “Michael’s Legend” is a haunting piano requiem, highlighting the tumultuous emotional undercurrents at play in both the film and its accompanying soundtrack.

You can listen to the new track from the Halloween Kills OST below, composed by John Carpenter, Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies.

The film stars Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode, Nancy Stephens as Nurse Marion Chambers, Charles Cyphers as Leigh Brackett, Anthony Michael Hall as the adult Tommy Doyle, Kyle Richards as the adult Lindsey Wallace, and Robert Longstreet as the adult Lonnie Elam.

What did you think of Carpenter’s previously released track titled “Rampage”? Do you enjoy Carpenter’s latest music? You can let us know the answers to both questions by dropping a comment down in our discussion section below this article.

Halloween Kills will bring the bloody carnage to theaters and on Peacock on October 15th, 2021.
