101 Films Bringing David Cronenberg's 'Rabid' to (UK) Blu-Ray With New 2K Restoration

On August 26th, entertainment label 101 Films is set to bring horror fans in the United Kingdom a brand new 2k release of David Cronenberg‘s body horror classic Rabid on Blu-Ray, the enduringly tense and gruesome film that marked a landmark in the filmmakers early career. The new 2K restoration will screen at London’s FrightFest on SundayAugust 25th.

Synopses: “When Rose suffers terrible injuries in a motorcycle crash, she is taken to a nearby clinic run by Dr Keloid for experimental skin-graft surgery. At first, the revolutionary procedure proves successful, but it soon leaves Rose with a strange orifice protruding from her armpit and an insatiable thirst for human blood. Hell-bent on satisfying her bloodlust, Rose leaves a trail of insane and uncontrollably aggressive victims, as the unknown virus engulfs North America in an orgy of frenetic violence.

Starring: Marilyn Chambers, Howard Ryshpan, Frank Moore and Patricia Gage (American Psycho). Rabid is written and directed by David Cronenberg (Videodrome) and produced by John Dunning, Ivan Reitman and Don Carmody.
