Amityville: The Awakening Gets Delayed a Further Six Months

We will have a long wait yet again for director Franck Khalfoun’s Amityville: The Awakening, who’s previous work includes (P2, and the Maniac remake). The new franchise film has been gathering dust on a shelf at Dimension Films since 2014, has it been cursed or what? It was supposed to be coming out on January 6, 2017, but that’s not happening folks.

Dimension have decided to delay the film by another 6 months, making an announcement of a June 30, 2017 release date.

Belle, her little sister, and her comatose twin brother move into a new house with their single mother Joan in order to save money to help pay for her brother’s expensive healthcare. But when strange phenomena begin to occur in the house including the miraculous recovery of her brother, Belle begins to suspect her Mother isn’t telling her everything and soon realizes they just moved into the infamous Amityville house.

Produced by Jason Blum and written by Franck Khalfoun, Daniel Farrands, and Casey La Scala. The films stars Jennifer Jason Leigh, Bella Thorne, McKenna Grace, Cameron Monaghan, Kurtwood Smith, Taylor Spreitler, Thomas Mann, and Jennifer Morrison.
