Another New ‘Leatherface’ Trailer Reveals Lots More Carnage

Another New Leatherface Trailer Reveals Lots More Carnage

After viewing the first official trailer for Julien Maury’s upcoming slasher prequel Leatherface, I couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed with the footage shown. As much as I love the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise, the latest entry looks nothing like a TCM film to me. But hey, that’s just my opinion.

Today we have a second trailer via EW for you to check out below, which includes a bucket load of brand new footage. Let us know what you think.

Leatherface is coming exclusively to DirecTV on September 21, 2017, followed by a limited theatrical run and VOD release on October 20, 2017, via Lionsgate. The prequel has been Rated R “for strong bloody violence, disturbing images, language and some sexuality/nudity.

In Texas, years before the events of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, in the early days of the infamous Sawyer family, the youngest child is sentenced to a mental hospital after a suspicious incident leaves the sheriffs’ daughter dead. Ten years later, he kidnaps a young nurse and escapes with 3 other inmates. Pursued by authorities including the deranged sheriff out to avenge his daughter’s death, the young Sawyer teen goes on a violent road trip from hell, molding him into the monster known now as Leatherface.

Leatherface was directed by Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo (Inside). Cast includes Vanessa Grasse, Lili Taylor, Sam Coleman, Sam Strike, and James Bloor, Stephen Dorff, Nicole Andrews, Julian Kostov, Jessica Madsen, and Lorina Kamburova.
