Saw Sequel: Follow-Up to 'Jigsaw' in Development at Twisted Pictures

After the success of Last Year’s Jigsaw (review here) earning $102 million worldwide at the box office, it comes as no surprise that the film’s writers Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg want to move forward with another Saw sequel, which is apparently in development at Twisted Pictures.

According to a report at the BD website, Jigsaw directors Michael and Peter Spierig are not involved in the ninth Saw franchise film. Other than that, not much else is known about the next Saw installment at present.

The last Saw has the following synopsis:

Bodies are turning up around the city, each having met a uniquely gruesome demise. As the investigation proceeds, evidence points to one man: John Kramer. But how can this be? The man known as Jigsaw has been dead for over a decade. Or has an apprentice picked up the mantle of Jigsaw, perhaps even someone inside the investigation?

Do you want to see another Saw sequel? Are you a fan of the Saw franchise? As usual, you can let us know the answers to both questions down in the comments section below.

While it’s still very early days to assume anything, Dark Universe will do our best to keep you all informed on its progress.
