'The Batman' HBO Max Release Date Confirmed for April 2022

Director Matt Reeves‘ The Batman is set to arrive on the HBO Max streaming service on April 19, 2022, which was confirmed by WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar in a recent interview with Vox’s Recode (via our friends over at Comicbook).

Reeves revealed to the site that The Batman will be available to stream on HBO Max on day 46 of the 45-day theater-exclusive window.

Think about when movies would show up on HBO, which is eight to nine months after theatrical premiere. The Batman is going to show up on day 46 on HBO Max,” Kilar said. “That is a huge change from where things were in 2018, 2017, 2016.

The film stars Robert Pattinson as Batman, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Jeffrey Wright as Lt. James Gordon, Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle/aka Catwoman, Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot/aka the Penguin, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Paul Dano as Edward Nashton/aka the Riddler, Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham D.A. Gil Colson, and Jayme Lawson as mayoral candidate Bella Reál.
