'Beetlejuice 2' Reportedly in Early Development at Brad Pitt's Plan B

A reported has emerged this week from The Ankler that the long-rumoured sequel to Tim Burton‘s Beetlejuice is in early development, with original stars Michael Keaton returning to reprise the role of Beetlejuice and Winona Ryder returning as tritagonist Lydia Deetz. We are also hearing that Brad Pitt‘s company Plan B has come on board to produce the project.

While we don’t currently have an official green light from Warner Bros, it appears the project is making slow progress towards finally becoming a reality.

Last thing we heard was that Mike Vukadinovich had been hired to pen a rewrite of Beetlejuice 2. This particular piece of news goes as far back as late 2017.

The original 1988 movie has the following synopsis:

When the deceased couple Adam and Barbara are unsuccessful in scaring away a family that has moved into their old home, they seek the help of bio-exorcist Betelgeuse.

With the thirty-fourth anniversary coming up, do you think it’s about time that we got a sequel? If so, would you like to see Tim Burton return to the directing chair for Beetlejuice 2? As usual, you can let us know the answers to both questions down in our Disqus comments area below this post.

Stay tund to Dark Universe for more potential updates on the progress of Beetlejuice 2 to come.
