'Black Friday': Casey Tebo’s Horror-Comedy Starring Bruce Campbell and Devon Sawa Gets November Release

Making its world premiere at Fantastic Fest this week, it looks like a release date has now been locked in place for director Casey Tebo’s horror-comedy Black Friday, starring Bruce Campbell and Devon Sawa. Screen Media recently acquired the film and are giving it a theatrical run and VOD release some time this November.

Black Friday has the following synopsis

On the busiest shopping night of the year, a group of disgruntled toy store employees must defend themselves from legions of holiday shoppers when a mysterious alien parasite turns them into monstrous creatures hell-bent on a murderous rampage.

Andy Greskoviak wrote the script.

Tebo shared his first initial thoughts on the film’s script:

When Andy sent me this script, it was such a blast! It reminded me of some of my favorite holiday horror movies like Gremlins or Krampus. I could see myself running to a midnight showing to see this with other horror fans, and at the same time, I could see my kids watching it at a sleepover with their friends. It’s imaginative, original, scary, fun, and the right bit of ridiculous — and that’s all the things I want to see in a movie!

Are you looking forward to seeing Campbell and Sawa share the screen together in Black Friday? If so, will you be checking out in theaters or on VOD in November? You can let us know the answers to both questions by dropping a comment down in our discussion section below this article.

The film also stars Michael Jai White, Ivana Baquero, Ryan Lee, and Stephen Peck.

Stay tuned to Dark Universe for an official release date conformation.
