'Blade' Starring Mahershala Ali is Allegedly Set to Begin Filming on July 4th

According to a recent update to the Production List website, Marvel Studios’ new Blade reboot is set to begin principal photography on July 4th in Atlanta, Georgia and New Orleans, Louisiana. This time around, the role of the daywalker will be played by actor Mahershala Ali (Swan Song).

In a related post today, original daywalker star Wesley Snipes revealed that he is still opening for a return to the character in a future Blade movie. Follow the link to check out what he had to say.

Bassam Tariq, best known for the Riz Ahmed film Mogul Mowgli, will direct Marvel’s Blade from a script written by Stacy Osei-Kuffour (“Watchmen”).

Delroy Lindo (The Harder They FallCrooklyn) and Aaron Pierre (Old, “The Underground Railroad”) will star alongside Ali in an unspecified roles.
