'Candyman' Begins Filming, Colman Domingo and Nathan Stewart-Jarrett Join the Cast

As reported last month by Chicago Tribune, MGM’s new Candyman, directed by Nia DaCosta and penned by Jordan Peele, has indeed begun filming this week in Chicago.

According to a new report via Deadline, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett (Misfits) and Colman Domingo (“Fear the Walking Dead”) have joined the cast of DaCosta’s Candyman.

The film will tell the story of graduate student Helen Lyle, who explores local legends for a research paper with the help of her friend.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Teyonah Parris also star in MGM’s new Candyman flick, which is set to hack and slash its way into theatres worldwide on June 12th2020.
