Corin Hardy’s ‘Conjuring’ Universe Spinoff ‘The Nun’ Scores a New Release Date

The Nun

Several sources are reporting today that New Line Cinema’s The Conjuring Universe spinoff The Nun has been giving a later than expected release date. The Flick, directed by Corin Hardy, is now scheduled to haunt theaters on September 7th.

A young nun at a cloistered abbey in Romania taking her own life, with a priest with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows sent by the Vatican to investigate. Together they uncover the order’s unholy secret and confront a malevolent force in the form of the same demonic nun from The Conjuring 2.

The film stars Oscar nominated Demian Bichir (A Better Life) as Father Burke, Taissa Farmiga (TV’s American Horror Story) as Sister Irene, Jonas Bloquet (Elle) as local villager Frenchie, Charlotte Hope (TV’s “Game of Thrones”) as the abbey’s Sister Victoria, Ingrid Bisu (Toni Erdmann) as Sister Oana, and Bonnie Aarons, reprising her Conjuring 2 role as the title character.

Hopefully the new released date sticks. Stay tuned to Dark Universe for the latest updates on Warner Bros. horror flick The Nun.
