Legendary make-up effects creator Greg Nicotero, who is attached to direct and executive produce Shudder’s upcoming “Creepshow” TV series, just shared some very exciting new details out of this year’s NYCC.

The folks over at Horror News Network were kind enough to post the following information.

Here’s what Nicotero had to say at Shudder’s NYCC panel regarding the six-episode season of the “Creepshow” TV series:

Nicotero stressed that the tone of the series would shift from story-to-story, with some taking a lighthearted comedic approach and others taking a much more frightening path. He also stated that each story would be ‘As long as they need to be’ and that he did not feel any pressure to fit the stories into segments of equal length.

The “Creepshow” TV series will feature stories from Stephen King, Joe Hill, and Joe Lansdale.

Nicotero also revealed:

The current plan is to produce digital comics based on each episode, as a potential perk for Shudder subscribers. He also hopes that they are collected into actual comics, which he believes is still the proper way to read comics.

Pretty amazing stuff, right? We’ll continue to keep you updated on the progression of Shudder’s “Creepshow” TV series.
