News Danielle Harris is “Bummed” That She’s Not Playing Laurie’s Daughter in the New ‘Halloween’ Published 1 year ago on November 7, 2017 By Nick Bond Share Tweet Everyone knows actress Danielle Harris for her role as young Jamie Lloyd in Halloween 4 and Halloween 5, and later of course, Harris returned to the franchise in Rob Zombie’s Halloween and Halloween 2. Next year’s Halloween film, directed by David Gordon Green, will discard everything past John Carpenter’s original 1978 horror classic. Where does this leave Harris? Well, it looks like she’ll never be back again. To vent her frustrations, Harris expressed her true feelings during a Facebook live chat over the weekend. “I’m bummed out. And here’s why I’m bummed out,” said Harris. “I’ve done four Halloween movies, and I’m grateful for those movies. I wouldn’t have all of you guys here… if it wasn’t for Halloween. I’m forever grateful and indebted to the Halloween franchise. It’s been good to me.” Harris continued, “What I am bummed about is… [Laurie Strode] has a daughter. I was okay with it when she had a son… but they’re saying it’s the last one and… she has a daughter. And it’s not Jamie. It’s just kind of a bummer, I guess. I think somebody had said, it wouldn’t have hurt the movie to have Jamie reunited with [Laurie]. But that didn’t happen. We did put in a call, thought it’d be kinda cool even just to have a little flashback… they were not interested. So. I tried.” “But that doesn’t mean you won’t see me in lots of other horror movies,” Harris added. “I’ve got a lot of other cool ones coming out soon.” Jamie Lee Curtis is returning to reprise her iconic role as Laurie Strode in the next year’s Halloween. Judy Greer (Jurassic World) is in talks to play Karen, the daughter of Laurie. John Carpenter will executive produce with Malek Akkad producing for Trancas and horror specialist Jason Blum producing for Blumhouse. Gordon Green and McBride will also executive produce under their Rough House Pictures banner. Synopsis: “Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role as Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.” Halloween will stalk theaters on October 19th, 2018. It doesn’t make any sense to cast her in that role. They are forgetting all sequels. If they do cast her it would be to confusing. She is super hot though. Reply Dark Master July 12, 2018 at 8:29 pm That is what Ticks me off about this new Movie as well is another Rewrite of Laurie’s Kids when she already has Kids Jamie and John. Danielle has Jamie Lee Curtis to thank for not being asked to return this rewrite of Laurie’s story was her idea. The only Kids of Laurie that make sense to em are Jamie and John. I will still check out the new movie if not for the story for Michael Myers. Maybe someone else in the Future will Bring make Jamie and John in Their own story for Halloween.
