Saw Reboot Release Date Gets Bumped Forward to May 2020

It’s only been a couple of weeks since Chris Rock and Darren Lynn Bousman‘s new Saw reboot began filming, and today we have word that the film from Lions Gate has been bumped forward five months from its original planned release date of October 23rd, 2020 to May 15th, 2020.

The new Saw reboot will offer fans worldwide a new amped-up level of deviously treacherous traps, clever clues and the edge-of-the-seat suspense they expect from one of the world’s most terrifying horror franchises.

The film’s cast includes Samuel L. Jackson, Max Minghella and Marisol Nichols.

Rock’s vision for the next Saw film, detailed below, will be full of twists, turns, and an event for fans of the popular horror franchise.

Chris wants to put his own spin on the Saw franchise in the way Eddie Murphy put a completely fresh perspective on buddy-cop films with 48 Hours. This new Saw is going to be an event film in the making for horror fans. It will have all of the twists and turns and hardcore layers that our fans expect directed by one of the masters of the craft, Darren Lynn Bousman. We can’t wait to get started.

Are you disappointed by the five month delay? If not, will be just as excited in five months time as you are now for the new Saw reboot? As usual, you can let us know the answers to both questions down in our comments section below this post.

Look for the new Saw movie when it hits theatres on May 15th, 2020.
