David Gordon Green Talks 'Halloween Kills' and 'Halloween Ends' Saga Conclusion

As previously announced last week by the horror master himself, John Carpenter, slasher icon Michael Myers is set for a big come back in two new upcoming Halloween saga sequels from Blumhouse Productions. Continue reading to find out what the filmmakers behind the next instalments have in store for fans of the beloved horror franchise.

In a recent interview with Collider’s Christina Radish, director David Gordon Green and writer Danny McBride had quite a bit to say about the Laurie Strode and Michael Myers saga in the upcoming Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends sequels.

McBride on shooting back-to-back sequels:

We stat in September [and shoot them back-to-back] with a breather between. But they’ll be out in two consecutive years, in 2020 and 2021. You get a breather this year, and then, for the next two years, it’s gonna be crazy.

Green on his Halloween saga conclusion:

They’re never done telling the Frankenstein story, and at this point, Michael Myers is a classic movie monster. But our Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode/Michael Myers saga will be done. The fun of it is also seeing it end and knowing that it can. If you just keep trying to elongate it and milk it for all of the money, then that’s boring.

Halloween Kills will stalk theaters on October 16th, 2020, followed by Halloween Ends on October 15th, 2021.
