David Harbour Says Neil Marshall’s ‘Hellboy’ Reboot Will Be a Dark and Scary Monster Flick

David Harbour as Hellboy

It’s been a while since we last heard anything fresh on Neil Marshall’s rated-R version of Hellboy, which stars “Stranger Things” standout David Harbour as the title character. Well, that period of silence ends today.

In a recent interview with Variety, Hellboy star David Harbour revealed more exciting details on the film:

These movies have been of a certain brand. With ‘Deadpool’ and ‘Logan,’ they are trying to do different things.” Cross told the site. “So we are trying to do our own brand of that. I was really excited by that concept — to make a real monster movie that’s dark and scary and about the end of the world.

Harbour continued, “It’s the most physical role I’ve ever played. The stunts are incredible, and the action is really incredible, and I’m way too old to be doing that stuff. It’s two to two-and-a-half hours in [the makeup] chair every morning being painted red with all these prosthetics.

The film also stars Milla Jovovich, Ian McShane, Daniel Dae Kim, Penelope Mitchell and Sasha Lane. Hellboy began filming this past September in the UK and Bulgaria.

Hellboy will destroy theaters on January 112019.
