'Elvira: Mistress of the Dark' 29th Anniversary Limited Edition Blu-Ray

Horror fans can celebrate the 29th anniversary of director James Signorelli’s 1988 horror/comedy Elvira: Mistress of the Dark on April 24, 2017, which stars horror hostess Elvira, played by the lovely Cassandra Peterson. The film will be released by Cinespectral Films on a collector’s edition Blu-Ray that is limited to 3000 copies.

This brand new version of the film was scanned from the original interpositive using a 4K scanner and will be available as part of a collector’s edition 3-disc set, comprising two Blu-rays and a PAL DVD, limited to just 3,000 copies. Purchasers of the 3-disc mediabook will have a choice between three variant front-cover designs: the original theatrical artwork, the promotional press kit artwork, and an all-new commissioned retro-inspired piece by German horror director Andreas Marschall. Each variant is limited to 1,000 units.

Elvira: Mistress of the Dark synopsis:

Elvira quits her job as a horror host after being sexually harassed by the station’s new owner and forms a plan to start her own show in the heart of Las Vegas. Upon learning that her great-aunt Morgana has passed away, Elvira travels to the town of Falwell to claim her inheritance, only to find herself stranded when her Macabre Mobile’s engine blows up. Will she become Las Vegas’ next big dance sensation? Or get burned alive at the stake?
