‘Evil Dead Now’ Re-Titled to ‘Evil Dead Rise’, Rumoured to Take Place in a Skyscraper

Bruce Campbell Says New 'Evil Dead' Movie is Now Titled 'Evil Dead Rise'

We recently learned from Bruce Campbell himself that Evil Dead Rise, formerly known before it changed as Evil Dead Now, will drop the cabin in the woods for a completely different stetting. Lee Cronin (The Hole in the Ground) is attached to direct the project.

While speaking with Diabolique, Campbell confirmed the following details:

The official name is Evil Dead Rise. We’re getting a new draft in. I don’t think anything will happen until 2021. Full bore ahead, we’re very excited about it. A whole, new ballgame. No more cabin in the woods.

And according to YouTuber and BD source Jimmy Champane, Evil Dead Rise will take place in an high-rise office building:

Instead of being set at a cabin in the woods, this movie is going to take place in an office building, or a sky-rise, as they put it.

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m in favour of a change of setting for the next film. “Ash Vs. Evil Dead” showed us that the deadites can be effective in any surrounding. Sound off down in the comments to let us know your thoughts on this news.
