'Evil Dead Rise': Lee Cronin Shares Eerie Audio from the Film

Director Lee Cronin is currently in the editing stages of his latest horror film Evil Dead Rise, and in a recent tweet posted to his account this past Saturday evening, the filmmaker shared some disturbing sounds from the film out of the editing suite in Dublin.

In Evil Dead Rise, “Beth pays an overdue visit to her older sister Ellie, who is raising three kids on her own in a cramped L.A. apartment. The sister’s reunion is cut short by the discovery of a mysterious book deep in the bowels of Ellie’s building, giving rise to flesh-possessing demons, and thrusting Beth into a primal battle for survival as she is faced with the most nightmarish version of motherhood imaginable.”

The film was produced by Sam RaimiBruce Campbell and Robert Tapert.

Even though it’s only a brief tease, it sure sounds like something out of a freaky Evil Dead film to us. What do you think? Is it getting you excited yet? As usual, you let us know the answer to both questions down in our comments section below this news article.

The film stars Gabrielle EcholsNell FisherMorgan Davies, Mia Challis, Lily Sullivan and Alyssa Sutherland.

Look for Evil Dead Rise to make its official debut on HBO Max later this year.
