'Firestarter': Actress Sydney Lemmon Joins the Cast of Keith Thomas' Re-Adaptation

According to a report via Deadline this morning, “Fear the Walking Dead” and “Helstrom” actress Sydney Lemmon has joined the cast of Blumhouse Productions and director Keith Thomas‘ upcoming re-adaptation of Stephen King’s classic horror-sci-fi thriller Firestarter. Lemmon will appear alongside the film’s star 11-year old Ryan Kiera Armstrong, who landed the lead role as Charlie McGee back in early June.

Written by Scott Teems (Halloween Kills), the film’s plot unfolds when:

A young girl develops pyrokinetic abilities and is abducted by a secret government agency that wants to harness her powerful gift as a weapon.

The film also stars Zac Efron, Michael Greyeyes, and Gloria Reuben.
