George A. Romero’s ‘Night of the Living Dead’ 4K Restoration Gets an Official Poster

Night of the Living Dead

As reported last July, Janus Films has acquired the late George A. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead 4K restoration for theatrical distribution from the Museum of Modern and The Film Foundation.

Throughout the month of October, the restoration is hitting the road and stopping off in several cities across the United States, and we’ve just gotten our hands on the official poster art for the limited theatrical release.

The new 4K restoration is rotating round many cities across the United States this October, and today the official poster has been released for the limited theatrical run, which comes courtesy of artist Sean Phillips.

What we have now, for good or for bad, is exactly what I shot,” Romero said of the digital restoration just last year. “This is closer than anything we’ve seen to the definitive version of the film. It’s in the right format, 1.33:1, and that’s never been seen before either.
